Signups:

To participate in NewbiDuo, your skill-cap be no higher than the following;

  • UGC Steel
  • ETF2L Low Divs
  • RGL Open HL
  • RGL Open Prolander
  • Participation in no more than 2 Organized Ultiduo Events
  • You can not participate if you placed 3rd or above in any of the above
    • If you played in any ESEA division, you will not be allowed to participate We ask that you have at least 250 hours logged on Team Fortress 2

You are allowed 1 sub, allowing up to 3 rostered members on a team

Admins reserve the right to decline any user(s) from participating in the event.

Format

NewbiDuo follows a double elimination bracket. The elimination process will be:

Rounds 1-10: Best of 1
Rounds 11-12: Best of 3

We will use the ETF2L ultiduo whitelist, which can be found here: http://whitelist.tf/etf2l_ultiduo

Servers will be provided upon request. Also, there are medals!

  • If you have received any community bans on other leagues (i.e. UGC, RGL, ETF2L) you will not be eligible to participate.

Match info:
Ringers/Mercs: Rngers/Mercs cannot be in higher divisions than those listed above and must be confirmed with the consent of the other team.
Roster changes: Players can be added or removed before the tournament begins, use the tournament's discord for this purpose..
Match Scores: Match scores must be reported before the next round can be played. Failure to do so will result in toin cossed results.
POVs: POVs must be recorded and given to an admin upon request.
Sandbagging/smurfing: NewbiDuo offers a fair playing ground for all participants. If a player is found to be above the listed, the player and their associated teammates will be banned from participating in any future NewbieDuo tournaments.

Rules

  • Picking up weapons is NOT ALLOWED.

  • You are required to contact your enemies either through Steam or Discord once your match is apparent.
    If your opponents fail to respond by the time the match is supposed to be played, you are eligible to claim a default win

  • Each team is allowed 1 pause per game.

  • Default win can be claimed only if one of these is true:
    -The opposing team does not join the server 15 minutes after the scheduled time.
    -The opposing team breaks any of the aforementioned rules.

  • Rescheduling matches to a time that does obstruct the tournament's flow will just result in a coin tossed result by the time the next round shall commence.
